Day 1 Tour Highlights
Arrive in Niigata via a bullet train and check-into your hotel. Board a train to Nagaoka to check out the festival and settle in for the fireworks this evening.
This evening, enjoy reserved seats on the Nagaoka side of the Shinano river as thousands of fireworks, including multiple star mines and other enormous local specialties, are shot off, as they have been since 1879. After the show ends, return to Niigata via the train lines.
Day 2-3: August 4th and 5th
Day 2-3 Tour Highlights
Use your hotel room in Niigata as a convenient base for some local self-guided sightseeing in Niigata City. If you are interested, you can arrange for a koi farm tour or a visit to the factories of Tsubame Sanjo instead of a fully self-guided day here.
