Winter Yamabushi Training Experience

A prayer experience 1300 years in the making
Experience Japanese native mountain worship year round, even in the depths of winter. This specially designed, brand-new plan allows you to immerse yourself in the ancient spirit and path of prayer of the Yamabushi in modern times.
Local volunteers have built the trail at the base of a 1300 year old temple. Clad in white robes and equipped with winter gear, tackle this spiritual trek even in the snowy season with the guidance and teachings of a Yamabushi mountain monk.
The ascent, accompanied by chants such as “purification of the six senses,” is a truly authentic training experience. From the summit, a majestic snowy landscape that can only be seen in winter spreads out before your eyes. In this place where nature itself is considered a sacred object, you can purify your mind and body and spend a special time offering prayers in silence.
This tour requires at least one hour of mountain climbing experience, as you will be climbing up and down mountain slopes. Please note that there may be snowfall in winter, so you will need winter boots with traction during this season.
